Nami is a lightweight Cardano browser extension wallet (now part of the IOG/Lace family) with a minimal UI tailored for fast delegation and dApp interactions.
Pros & Cons
Is Nami right for you?
✅ What we like
- •Minimal, fast UI — pioneered the Cardano dApp connector spec (CIP-30)
- •Lightweight install, low memory footprint
- •Now backed by IOG after 2022 acquisition
⚠️ Watch out for
- •Browser extension only — no mobile
- •ADA-only
- •Long-term roadmap unclear post-Lace launch

FAQ
Nami staking — common questions
Is Nami still being developed?
Yes, but slowly. Since IOG launched Lace in 2023, much of the dev focus shifted there. Nami still works and gets security patches but new features land in Lace first.
Can I import a Nami seed into Lace or Daedalus?
Yes. The 24-word recovery phrase follows the Cardano standard and imports into any compatible wallet (Lace, Daedalus, Yoroi, Eternl).
